In Bellarmine's letter to Foscarini, he lays down with 3 separate arguments what he feels about the current issues (I.E. the Galileo affair and the theory of Heliocentricity), while giving himself a caveat for the possibility that the earth actually DOES revolve around the sun. I rather liked the idea of this Cardinal had the foresight to prepare for the eventuality that he might be wrong.
