This Blog's Purpose is to Serve as a general Back-up for things that I find concerning History 4B, to serve as a site for my character in the Galileo Trial, and, in general, to learn things outside of Lecture and Discussion

Brown's Immodest Acts Is really a very interesting read that shows how the divine and the real worlds were viewed as closely linked. Moreover the expectations of cloistered nuns and Friars, as well as their social standing made it quite interesting when paralleled with Giovanni and Lusanna. I found the scenes that described the punishment of the abbess interesting, because they were far reaching and long lasting, given that even with the supposed visions, the effects weren't really all that widespread.
